Since 2003, the Southern Connecticut Vegetarian Society has been a
gathering spot for residents to enjoy vegetarian food, learn from guest
speakers, and spread the word about this healthful, compassionate way
of living.
SCVS is a young organization and is always looking for new members and
volunteers to help maintain this website and organize new events.
Please feel free to join our mailing list or drop by on an event. We're
sure you'll make new veg friends and maybe learn something new too.
This website features announcements of upcoming events, articles on
past SCVS gatherings, links to useful local or internet resources, and

SCVS meetings are now held at the Edge of the Woods natural foods grocery at 379 Whalley Ave in New Haven CT. Click here for a Google map showing the address of the store. The store is faily easy to get to from either I-95, I-91 or Rt. 15, so please try to make it out. Edge is one of the best natural food stores in Connecticut and being able to enjoy the veg society meetings and get some shopping done for hard-to-find items is a treat. SCVS meets in the upper-level dining area at Edge. As you enter, go straight to the left, pass the registers and head up the stairs before you enter the bakery area.
